Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 protects people from discrimination based on sex in education programs or activities which receive Federal financial assistance. Title IX states that:

“No person in the United States shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any education program or activity receiving federal financial assistance. ”

Title IX Coordinator

The Title IX Coordinator is the designated Institute official with primary
responsibility for coordinating the compliance with Title IX. This includes
providing leadership for Title IX activities; providing consultation, education
and training; and helping to ensure the Institute responds appropriately,
effectively and equitably to Title IX issues.

VOICE

VOICE is a campus-wide initiative housed in Health and Well-Being and founded on the premise that everyone has the right to live and learn at Georgia Tech, free of violence or the threat of violence. VOICE educates the campus community about sexual violence through various presentations and programs throughout the year. VOICE also has confidential VOICE Advocates who provide 24/7 support to students who have experienced any form of sexual violence.
